A pizza delivery man brings a pizza to the Millers' house. Moose pays him for it and calls out "Molly! The pizza you ordered is here!"
"I didn't order a pizza !" says Molly. "Yoo-hoo! Pizza man!"
"Molly, let's not be too hasty" says Moose, holding the pizza box to his chest and licking its edges in a weird and creepy manner. Also, liquid is coming out of the pizza box.

I feel this would be better if he wasn't holding the pizza upright, and also hadn't paid presumably the same amount for a soaking wet mystery pizza as he'd pay for a pizza he'd ordered himself.

I disagree with absolutely everything you just said. Those elements improve the comic because they show just exactly how much Moose Miller likes pizza, and also Molly would never leave Moose, have you seen how much those two love each other?
DeleteI will be honest I know nothing of the backstory. It is insane to suggest a man who loves pizza would hold the box like that though. That is pizza murder :(
